2010 Gold Bat - Corey Knight

Not only did he hit the first home run in Varsity history, Corey Knight became the first Viper to hit a home run at Viper Field, as well as the first to hit multiple home runs in one game, and the first to hit three home runs in one game.
It wasn't just Corey's home run prowess that makes him the inaugural Gold Bat recipient though.  To go along with his six homeruns this season, Corey led the team with 14 doubles, 28 RBIs, 34 total hits, and a .731 slugging percentage.
His .366 batting average and .423 on-base percentage were second best on the team, and he only struck out 12 times in 104 plate appearances.  Corey proved himself to be a threat at the plate for opposing pitchers all season long, making him the 2010 Gold Bat recipient.
